A kinder, more "user friendly" IRS...
“WE WANT TO make it easier than ever for taxpayers to
get help, and IRS.gov
does just that,” said IRS Acting Commissioner Bob Wenzel.
The agency expects to mail out about 38 million tax form
packages and another 25 million brochures aimed at people likely
to use a computer to do their taxes. The packages should arrive
early this month.
“This is the first year where you can do almost everything
on-line at IRS.gov,” said IRS spokeswoman Nancy Mathis.

Umax removes drivers from web site...
Umax has decided in this era of high speed Internet connections to
remove all the drivers from there web site due to size issues.
HUH? Umax's Wenn Lin said that "the files are too large for
download at 30 megs" and they are offering driver CD's at $28 a
pop! Where's the customers service?
We found that if you visit the
Umax UK site you can still download the drivers. Guess the
bandwidth in the UK isn't at such a premium.
